FANUC ADVANCED PROGRAMMING & OPERATIONS TRAINING

IPG Genesis offers a variety of classes at our Davenport, Iowa facility. Whether you need safety, programming or maintenance classes, IPG Genesis offers robot training from experienced instructors to help robot operators keep up to date with the latest best practices. With small, personalized classes, all training courses aim for 20% class time and 80% hands on time with robotic work cells, with a 2 to 1 student to robot ratio, so that all students get the knowledge they need to make an impact on your bottom line.

 

Course Objectives

• To instruct students in the advanced functions of the robot including the ability to modify touch sense, seam
tracking and other heavy metal options.
• The students will have the ability to master the robot (zero the axis of the robot) and to maintain utility
programs.

Main Topics

•Safety precautions while performing advanced functions with a Genesis system and FANUC robot
• Teach pendant menus and displays for entry of welding routines, program commands and weld data
• Advanced functions. Touch Sensing, Seam Tracking, Coordinated Motion, Program Shift Utility, Multi-Pass welding (MPW), Root Pass Memorization (RPM)
• TorchMate, Tool Center Point
• Program number select (PNS) and Robot Service Request (RSR) execution
• Robot mastering and mastering procedures
• Save programs – format disk/memory card, system variables and applications, save image
• User Frame, Jog Frame and Touch Sense Frame

Course Duration

• (4) days, Monday through Thursday
• 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Student Profile

• Intended for participants who must create programs, jog robot, or touch up programs.
• System operators, technicians, engineers and programmers.

Prerequisites and Recommendations

• FANUC Basic Programming and Systems Operations Training class
• Working knowledge of GMAW process
